Keeping the ballet in balance depends on excellence in every element.
Patrons return year after year to attend PDT productions to “See what’s new!” Every year the Company adds new elements of surprise and grandeur to its productions. Since 2009 PDT has added magical falling snow, fairylike glitter, 5 magnificent backdrops, heavenly fog, an 18- foot growing Christmas tree, and magic tricks galore.
A single backdrop is worth as much as $8,000 – $10,000, and they require hundreds of hours to construct. For the 2015 season, PDT is excited to unveil a brand new Nutcracker Act II backdrop and throne designed by local artist, Kathryn Prince.
