Through the Girl Scout Community Outreach Program, Piedmont Dance Theatre provides Girl Scouts with opportunities to experience and learn about dance. PDT’s Girl Scouts Program helps to support the Girl Scout mission of “building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place” by providing opportunities for them to participate in the performing arts through dance.
PDT’s Girl Scout Program is suited for students of all ages including Daisy Girl Scouts, Brownie Girl Scouts, Junior Girl Scouts and STUDIO 2B. The program offers troops the following options to experience dance:
The Nutcracker Patch
Join Piedmont Dance Theatre at its performance of The Nutcracker on Saturday, December 2nd at 2:00pm at the Mooresville Performing Arts Center. Enjoy the full-length, traditional staging of this family holiday classic and stay after the performance to meet the dancers, and learn all you need to know to earn your Nutcracker Patch. Great for all levels!
